Construction Update: July 3, 2024

In observance of Independence Day, project work will not take place on July 4th or 5th. We hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday weekend!

Next week, underground duct bank construction will continue at the following locations in Beverly:

  • -Cabot Street
    • —At the intersection with Broadway

  • -Hale Street
    • —Between Ocean Street and Dane Street

  • -East Lothrop Street
    • —Between Hale Street and Bisson Street
    • —Between East Street and Lawrence Street
    • —Between Corning Street and Ray Street

  • -Cross Lane
    • —Between Spruce Run and Boyles Street

  • -Within National Grid’s property on River Street

  • -Within National Grid’s property on Boyles Street

Work hours in Beverly and Salem are from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday except where otherwise noted. Please let us know about any upcoming deliveries or special events that we can prepare to assist you with.

Work in the intersection of Cabot Street and Broadway will start at 9:00 AM to accommodate morning traffic.

On upcoming Saturdays, not including July 6th, project-related electrical work will take place within National Grid’s property on River Street in Beverly between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM.

Please note that parking may be limited and/or through-traffic may be detoured on the following streets: Hale, Thorndike, Congress, Wellman, Cabot, East Lothrop, Cross Lane, Parramatta Road, and Broadway in Beverly, and Bridge Street and Waite Street in Salem. Residents will always be able to access their homes and driveways with assistance from police details, crew members, and traffic signage.

At times construction equipment generates noise that will be noticeable to abutters. We thank you for your patience and understanding as we perform these critical infrastructure upgrades.
