This week, construction at the Waite Street Substation lot will continue intermittently. Midweek, dependent on weather conditions, a crew will be digging test pits on Waite Street. Parking on Waite Street and Ferry Street will be limited to allow for greater access for National Grid and its contractors. During workdays, you may notice equipment and materials moving in and out of the worksite via Bridge Street. Work hours at this location are 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.
Our weekly newsletter remains one of the easiest ways to stay up to date with the latest project information related to construction schedules, timelines, and traffic. If you know of neighbors, family, or friends who may be interested in having these weekly updates sent straight to their email inbox, please feel free to encourage them to sign up here (at the bottom of the homepage).
Please know that we remain committed to prioritizing public health as well as the health of employees and contractors. National Grid has taken several steps to modify our business practices and daily operations to protect the communities in which we work. We have enacted additional policies and guidelines for our field and office personnel that are in line with the Commonwealth’s Guidelines and Procedures for construction as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s guidelines.
