Construction Update: January 10, 2022

Over the next week, work will continue at the Waite Street Substation. Once again, work will be limited to National Grid property on the corner of Waite Street and Ferry Street in Salem. Parking on Waite Street and Ferry Street will continue to be limited to allow for greater access for National Grid and its contractors. During the week, you may notice equipment and materials moving in and out of the worksite via Bridge Street. Work hours at this location are 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.

As work continues, one of the easiest ways to stay up to date with the latest project information related to construction schedules, timelines, and traffic management is via our weekly email newsletter. If you know of neighbors, family, or friends who may be interested in having these weekly updates sent straight to their email inbox, please feel free to encourage them to sign up here (at the bottom of the homepage).

Please know that we remain committed to prioritizing public health as well as the health of employees and contractors. National Grid has taken several steps to modify our business practices and daily operations to protect the communities in which we work. We have enacted additional policies and guidelines for our field and office personnel that are in line with the Commonwealth’s Guidelines and Procedures for construction as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s guidelines.

Thank you,

The Beverly Regional Transmission Reliability Outreach Team
