Construction on the first phase of the Beverly Regional Transmission Reliability Project continues this week, with
work limited to National Grid property on the corner of Waite Street and Ferry Street in Salem. As previously
mentioned, National Grid and its contractors are working to build the new substation for the project, which will consist of an 80-foot transmission structure, as well as a new control house
Parking on Waite Street and Ferry Street will continue to be limited to allow for greater access by National Grid and its contractors. Over the course of the week, you may notice equipment and materials moving in and out of the worksite via Bridge Street. This week work hours at this location are 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.
