Construction Update: December 13, 2021

We are excited to announce that during the week of Monday, December 13, work on National Grid’s Beverly Regional Transmission Reliability Project will officially begin!

The first phase of the Beverly Regional Transmission Reliability Project will be limited to National Grid property on the corner of Waite Street and Ferry Street in Salem. National Grid and its contractors are working to build the new substation for the project, which will consist of an 80-foot transmission structure, as well as a new control house.

As a result of this work, parking on Waite Street and Ferry Street will be blocked off to allow for greater access by National Grid and its contractors. Additionally, equipment and materials will be moving onto the worksite via Bridge Street. The work hours for the Beverly Regional Transmission Reliability Project at 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

One of the most important ways in which we are sharing information with our Salem and Beverly neighbors is through our weekly email newsletters, just like this one! Our newsletter comes out on Mondays and provides a forecast on what to expect from the Beverly Regional Transmission Reliability project for the week ahead. Additional information about the project can be found on our website, beverlyregionaltransmissionreliabilityproject.com.
